Rehabilitation of Elephant Catchers in Lakhimpur District of Assam

Rs. 5.10 crore has been sanctioned for providing assistance at the rate of Rs. 3.00 lakh per family of elephant catchers. The assistance would be provided in the form of fixed deposits so that the affected families could get a fixed monthly income for livelihood.
